PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE – Gabe O'Campo

So we have begun the slow change from the joy of Summer to the Hope of Fall.  Hope that the fall kings come back in large numbers.  Hope that the Oregon O Line can carry the new offense to a better than a 5 out of 11 season.  Hope that Michigan wins the Big Ten conference and meets USC in the Rose Bowl in January.  Hope that the new school year is full of eager students ready to learn... Lets Hope...

If you missed the Awards banquet, you missed a really good time.  Al Bazzi did his magic with the chicken once again.  Thanks again to Al and his helper for the great job they did over the grill.  Congratulations once again to Mike Troutman, our member of the year.  A special thanks to Joe and Carolyn Lamont, Curt Currey, and Mike Blackmarr all of whom were recognized for their individual contributions to the chapter over the past year.  And also the very best of luck to our scholarship award recipient Elizabeth Conway.  We all wish you a great start to your college career.

Thanks to everyone that made the barbeque such a good time.  Wojo, you da man. This whole event was your undertaking, and you did a magnificent job. Mike Troutman again put in lots of hours that day helping set up and clean up afterward.

We really need some one to step forward to organize our Association Raffle ticket sales for this year.  Time is a wastin’ and we need to get started selling these tickets... 

So I hope that all of you had a great summer, and lets look forward to all the joys of fall. Football, Salmon fishing, late season Steelheading, all of those things that makes this time of year so very special.
