Annual Paulina Lake Camp-out

Northwest Steelheaders love to fish and play. We like to have some fun after all of the hard work our organization has put in this year.

Our annual Paulina Lake Camp-out, July 20-22, 2001, was no exception. We had our average 38 person’s size group sign-up for the trip. Friday night saw our camping area filling to overflow capacity. Dinner on Saturday night showed we had 67 persons in attendance. No problem with the quantity of boats ether. 19 of various types were all tied in a neat row along the shore within easy access from the campsite. All ready for the morning run in search of fish.

Of course a Steelheaders event would not be complete without a visit from numerous Banana in the Boat Bandits. Fishermen by nature are superstitious. Bananas in the Boat is just bad luck. The Banana in the Boat Bandit struck several boats. He stashed them in several places including the bottom of a worm box. As every body knows, that is just plain low.
